Design Operation: Addition-Inflate, Displacement-Overlap, Displacement-Rotate <aside> 🗂️ 1. **Architectural Form and Structure** The Pagoda is composed of a base and a tower. The base is in the shape of a rectangle, and above it is a five-story tower. Each floor of the tower has a square plan, rotating 45 degrees layer by layer, forming an elegant hyperbolic paraboloid. This design not only creates a unique visual effect but also generates dynamic changes in light and shadow through the rotation of the floors. - **Hyperbolic Paraboloid**: Fesak used wooden templates to pour concrete, ingeniously shaping the hyperbolic paraboloid. This curved surface is not only aesthetically pleasing but also simplifies the construction process, avoiding the need for complex arc-shaped template production. - **Structural Logic**: The tower is supported by eight steel columns and a central core tube, effectively ensuring the stability of the rotating floors. This design not only meets functional requirements but also embodies the structural rationality of modernist architecture. 2. **Materials and Technologies** - **Innovative Application of Concrete**: As a master of concrete materials, Fesak combined the use of prefabricated concrete panels and wood formwork pouring technology in the "Tower", endowing the building with unique texture and feel. - **"Bone Beam" Structure**: The base adopts Fesak's signature "bone beams" - a type of hollow prestressed concrete beam, which not only reduces the weight of the roof but also achieves a large-span space. 3. **Functions and Space** - **Functional Zones**: The base area is mainly used for the layout of laboratories and storage spaces, while the tower houses administrative offices and a library.
