It was one of the pavilions at the 1967 Montreal World Expo. The design concept of this building is based on prefabricated concrete modules. By assembling these modules into a staggered three-dimensional structure, it creates a living environment that combines privacy with public spaces. The layout of each module ensures that each residence has its own balcony and viewing perspective, enhancing the comfort and interactivity of living. The structural system of Habitat 67 utilized a large number of prefabricated concrete modules, which were assembled on-site to form a complex consisting of 146 residential units. This building, with its unique cubic modules, stepped design, and innovative spatial layout, marked an important breakthrough in modern housing design and is regarded as a classic example of high-density residential building design. The exterior of the building is simple and functional, mainly using prefabricated concrete, embodying the aesthetics and practicality of industrialized architecture.
